Answer

Question
How to send and receive E-mail?
Answer
The simplest and the most convenient way of working with Freenet.am E-mail service is our Webmail interface, available via "Sign in to Freenet.am!" section at the left of Freenet.am Main page

Other way is using your preffered Mail Client (like Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) You should configure your mail client as follows:
  • Enter your "@freenet.am" address (username@freenet.am) in the Email Address field
  • Select IMAP as the type of incoming server you are using.
  • Enter "freenet.am" in Incoming Server (IMAP) field.
  • Enter "YOUR PROVIDER SMTP SERVER IP" in Outgoing Server (SMTP) field.
Up to now "YOUR PROVIDER SMTP SERVER IP" can be set to "freenet.am" only for Dial-up users. Others should send their E-mails via their providers.

IF SOMETHING WILL NOT WORK, PLEASE, DOUBLE-CHECK ALL SETTINGS AS PROVIDED ABOVE
then try contacting us by E-mail or Phone.

Also NOTE that POP3 access is not available at all. You should use IMAP instead.

One of the good Mail Client solutions we could recommend is:
Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition - Portable Edition of the popular FREE Mozilla Thunderbird email client, that enables you to take your email, address book and account settings with you whereever you go, by installing it on any portable hardware you like (USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive, etc).
